Corrections are always welcome. If an article has a wrong date, misspelled name, unclear location, missing source, or detail that can be improved, please reach out.
Story leads are welcome too. A name, place, cemetery, church, school, coal camp, photograph, family document, newspaper clipping, map, or local memory can help open the door to a larger story.
Photos, Documents, and Guest Writing
Photos and documents connected to Appalachian history may be helpful, especially if they show historic buildings, churches, cemeteries, bridges, schools, mines, roads, maps, letters, or family records.
Please only send material you have permission to share.
If you are interested in writing a guest article, include a short introduction, your topic, the county or community involved, and any sources or materials you already have.
